These terms cover your OsparLabs account and subscription at osparlabs.com. The TokenShrinker desktop app itself is governed by the End User Licence Agreement you accept during installation, which is the source of truth for how the software works; nothing here overrides it. Where this page and the EULA both describe the same thing, they're meant to say the same thing.

The service

TokenShrinker is a local proxy that runs on your own machine, compresses prompts before they reach an AI provider, scans for secrets, blocks runaway agent loops, and reports what it saved. Your account at osparlabs.com exists to manage your subscription and, on paid plans, to limit how many devices can be signed in at once.

Plans and pricing

Corporate is not self-serve yet: email [email protected] to set one up. Device limits are enforced client-side. That raises the cost of casually sharing an account; it is not, and is never described as, DRM. Local Ollama models are unlimited on every plan, including Free, with or without a subscription and with or without an internet connection.

Billing, cancellation, and refunds

Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, through Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel any time from the account page; cancelling stops future renewal, and you keep Pro features through the end of the period you already paid for. There is no partial-period refund for cancelling early.

If a payment fails, access continues for a short retry window, currently three days, while the payment is reattempted. During that window your subscription shows as past due. If payment isn't completed, the account moves to the Free tier. The length of that window is an operational setting rather than a contractual guarantee, and may change without notice.

Charges are non-refundable except where required by law. The Free tier exists so you can evaluate the app on your own traffic before paying for anything.

When a subscription lapses, is cancelled, or is flagged for misuse, cloud-provider features stop; the app never locks. Free-tier limits apply instead, and everything that runs on your own hardware, meaning local models through Ollama, the prompt workspace, structural compression, and your saved history, keeps working indefinitely.

Compression, and its limits

The software reduces prompt size two ways. Structural compression applies to JSON, logs, and stack traces, and is verified by re-parsing the result and comparing it against the source; if that comparison fails, the original is sent unchanged. Textual distillation removes conversational filler, repetition, and low-value phrasing from prose, and this method is not lossless: removing words can change the response a model produces. We don't warrant that a compressed prompt yields an identical, equivalent, or comparable completion. Shadow Mode and the built-in A/B comparison tool exist so you can measure the effect on your own workload before relying on it.

Secret detection is not a guarantee

The software scans prompts for credentials and other sensitive patterns before they're forwarded. Detection is pattern-based: it will not identify every secret, and it may occasionally flag content that isn't sensitive. A clean scan means no known pattern matched, not that the prompt is free of sensitive information. You remain responsible for what you send.

Loop protection is heuristic

The software can block requests it identifies as repetitive automated retries. This detection is heuristic: it may occasionally block a request you intended to make, and it may fail to identify some genuine loops. Blocks expire automatically and can be cleared manually. It's a cost safeguard, not a guarantee against unexpected charges.

Your responsibilities

You're responsible for obtaining and paying for your own AI provider credentials, and for all charges incurred on them. You're responsible for ensuring that any material you process through the software may lawfully be sent to your chosen provider, including under any confidentiality, contractual, employment, or data-protection obligation that applies to it. You may not resell, sublicense, or redistribute the software, share licence credentials between people, or attempt to circumvent its licensing or device limits.

No warranty, limitation of liability

The software is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, OsparLabs is not liable for API charges, overages, rate-limit penalties, credential suspension, service interruption, or pricing changes imposed by any third-party AI provider, nor for altered model output, omitted data, lost profits, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the software. Where liability can't be excluded, it's limited to the amount you paid OsparLabs in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Intellectual property

The software, its source code, algorithms, interface, and documentation are OsparLabs' property and are protected by copyright. These terms grant you a licence to use it; they transfer no ownership. Content you create with the software remains yours: we claim no rights over your prompts, documents, or the responses you receive.

Termination

Your licence ends if you breach these terms. On termination you must stop using the software and remove it from your devices. Your locally stored data remains yours and is not deleted by OsparLabs.

Changes

These terms may be updated for future versions. Changes apply to the version they accompany; they don't alter the terms under which an earlier version was supplied.
